Lunangelique:

For Alexis and Alex life has been great. They have loving parents, great friends and live a life every teenager dreams. However, they are adopted and Alexis struggles with wanting to know who their real parents are and not wanting to hurt her adopted parents. Then, a stunning guy moves across the street from them. One who has a secret past and seems to know things about Alexis. One who does mysterious things and leads her to other mysterious persons. One who pushes her to discover her extraordinary birth family and the truth between mythology and religion.

Sleeping Gods:

Alexis must pick up the broken pieces of her heart and pull herself together because she has a mission: To awaken the sleeping gods. When she is at the point of giving up, wearing her pretend smiles and feels like there is nothing left of herself, her friend becomes her savior. Patryck helps put Alexis back together again and in return Alexis sees him as something more than a friend…
Together with her brother, Alex, her father, Edmund, and a team of angels they make their way to Mount Latmos, to awaken the gods. But obstacles are in their way, one of them being Cole, the traitor, the one who shattered Alexis’ heart.
New friends and family she never thought she would meet will come to aid Alexis.
…And a love will blossom that will redefine the saying, “Love you forever.”

 Awakened Gods:

Lexi has fulfilled her destiny and now the gods have awakened, but is that a good thing?
Now, Lexi lives in a world that is on a global collapse. The gods are angry that they have been forsaken and are seeking revenge on humanity. The oceans are in turmoil, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcano eruptions and famine are causing global chaos, and the sun is being held hostage in an astrological phenomenal, never-ending solar eclipse by the avenging Helios.
Then, there is the problem of Zeus’ threat. Lexi must choose between giving herself to him or watching the “abominable” angels die by his hand. Not to mention, Hera, Zeus’ wife, is proposing her own jealous-driven proposition to Lexi: stay away from her husband or the angels and everyone dear to her will die. Lexi sees no way out of either predicaments and it puts a strain on her relationship with Cole. Will she lose him either way?

Top 10 Favorite Books & Why

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas – Love this book! Most, most favorite because it’s just such a well thought-out plot. The mastering plan of revenge, how all the pieces fell together…it was truly genius. I haven’t seen another book that can orchestrate so many plots happening at once, in a way that was interwoven. Truly inspiring.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen – How can you NOT like this book? This is probably the best representation of human psychology and dynamics. How we interpret the world and how it really is. This book made me step back and take a second look at some people that have been really nasty to me. It taught me—which may be weird to some—how to listen to others and well, kill them with kindness. It worked and those nasty people are now long time friends. You can’t always judge a book by its cover. I’ve probably read this book about twenty times.

Thoughtless Series by S.C. Stephens– These books touch my heart in so many ways. They’re heart clenching, funny, sweet…so many ups and downs. And the ups are way up and the downs are way down. It’s just such a rollercoaster ride that I can’t stop reading over and over again.

Gabriel’s Redemption by Sylvain Reynard – There are countless lessons to be learned in this book; charity, hope, common sense, love, compassion, faith. I love how faith based this book was; having in faith in yourself, others, God, redemption. It was such a beautiful story and the entire series was an amazing journey.

Tempus by Tyra Lynn – Wow, this story was a heart breaking, hopeless love story. I cried so much when I realized what was happening. It was a somewhat tragic, not too tragic, star-crossed lovers’ story. Imagine two people from two different time periods, one never remembering the other after each chance encounter while the other tries to every day to imprint himself into her mind. So tragic and beautiful… I really can’t wait for Tyra to write more.

The Game Changer by L.M. Trio – This book lifted my soul and then crushed my heart in unimaginable ways. I love, love, love the guts it took for Trio to NOT write a happily ever after for her debut novel.

Find You in The Dark by A. Meredith Walters – This book just crushed me. I can’t find any other words for why I love it so much. It was about such a helpless situation that made me want to scream. It moved me so much.

Helen of Troy by Margaret George – I love The Illiad and the story of Troy. This book was an unbelievable realistic story of the battle of Troy through the eyes of Helen. Studying history and the figures in this book, George did such a good job of making a possible fiction—but maybe not—story feel real.

Roma by Steven Saylor – This was the first book by Saylor that I ever read and it got me hooked. I think I’ve read just about everything of his. He has a way of writing historical fiction that’s not just fun, but educational. You can almost smell and see ancient Rome when you read his books.

The Agony and The Ecstasy by Irving Stone – One of my favorite historical fictions that I can read over and over again. Stone gets into the mind of the artist Michelangelo, twisting facts and rumors into a beautiful story. I was able to learn so much about my favorite artist.
