It's Bring it On meets The Craft in this spellbinding witchy series debut.
A stolen book. A deadly plan. A destiny discovered.

If high school is all about social status, Indigo Blackwood has it made. Sure, her quirky mom owns an occult shop, and a nerd just won't stop trying to be her friend, but Indie is a popular cheerleader with a football-star boyfriend and a social circle powerful enough to ruin everyone at school. Who wouldn't want to be her?

Then a guy dies right before her eyes. And the dusty old family Bible her mom is freakishly possessive of is stolen. But when a frustratingly sexy stranger named Bishop enters Indie's world, she learns that her destiny involves a lot more than pom-poms and parties. If she doesn't get the Bible back, every witch on the planet will die. And that's seriously bad news for Indie, because according to Bishop, she's a witch too.

Suddenly forced into a centuries-old war between witches and sorcerers, Indie is about to uncover the many dark truths about her life—and a future unlike any she ever imagined on top of the cheer pyramid.

My Thoughts :

When Indie is driving along with Paige in the car, a guy suddenly seems to drop from the sky right in front of them. They are both badly shaken and the guy is dead. She sees a scrap of paper in his hand and picks it up. On it is the address to her mothers shop! Coincidence?

It bothers Indie but she manages to put it out of her mind until they are called to the principals office the next day. 2 strangers claiming to be the police are there. Indie finds them off but there's nothing she can do other than answer their questions. When the principal leaves the room the guys attitude immediately changes. For some reason Paige is frozen and the men grill Indie about a certain book, her mums bible. Why are they so interested in that old thing? Little does Indie know that the book is precious and her life is about to change from that second on!

Well this was a pleasant surprise! I loved Hexed. Such a fun yet compelling read.

Now Indie isn't the normal heroine but I loved her. She was very witty and sassy! She is the typical beautiful high school cheerleader. She has her circle of friends and sticks with them. She is more worried about her reputation than anything else and thinks that being seen with a nerd is social suicide. Paige is said nerd and has been trying to be friends with Indie for ever since they live next door but Indie hates to be seen with her. So ya, Indie is pretty shallow but she is also smart, spunky and brave. We see her character develop from being who she was to someone special. She becomes a worthy heroine!

Then there's Bishop.  At the start he just seems weird, very stalkery but I still loved him. He was strong, brave, handsome and very very funny!! Despite his outward appearance you just know there's something underneath and throughout the book we do see that side of him. His chemistry with Indie was unmistakable as well. Even though she tries to hate him, she cant. He gets under her skin and I loved seeing their interactions!! I also loved the fact that there wasn't any insta love between Bishop and Indie. She cant stand him at first but sees the good side of him after a while

The secondary characters were amazingly written as well. Paige is the kind of friend everyone should have. Deeply loyal, brave and smart. Even though Indie didnt treat her the best she still manages to be there for her when needed.  Then there's Indies mom. She owns a witchy store and always tells Indie that the bible is special. She is kinda kooky but she loves Indie fiercely.

Overall I loved Hexed. A fun yet action packed Witch book. At times laugh out loud funny and at others bawl your eyes out sad! As for the ending!! WHY!!!! I need book 2 like yesterday ;) A fun, fast paced read that will stay with you even when you turn the last page! Michelle Krys is definitely one to watch and I look forward to more from her.
