Once it was also home to Edna's younger sister, Emily, and her two children, Jenny and Christopher, who, people believe, drove away one night, thirty years ago, and just never came back.
  • But in renovating the house Abigail finds scraps of paper hidden behind baseboards and tucked beneath the porch that hint the three could have been victims of foul play.

What did you love best about Scraps of Paper, Revised Author's Edition?
I really enjoyed everything about it. The story was fast paced and I enjoyed trying to figure out who was the killer.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Scraps of Paper, Revised Author's Edition?
The most memorable was the kids. It hurt my heart reading about them!!

What about Wendy Tremont King’s performance did you like?
This isn't my first book narrated by her and as always she does a great job. She is so easy to listen to and has the right tone for each situation.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. I think it only took me 2 days to finish because I had to know what would happen next.

    Any additional comments?
Scraps of Paper is such an emotional book at times because as the story unravels, your heart will break for those kids and what they were put through. It's a great murder/mystery and I love the setting too. Spooky is such an awesome name for a town!!! Can't wait to read the next installment in the Spooky Town Mystery.

Frank retired early and is living back in his hometown of Spookie when the killer resurfaces to take up where he left off. Kidnapping more innocents and tormenting Frank and the people he cares about.

    Story
If you could sum up All Things Slip Away in three words, what would they be?
    Great Murder Mystery.

Who was your favorite character and why?
I don't have a favourite one because I enjoyed them all. Abigail is a competent heroine, she is a normal woman and has her insecurities but will do what she can when needed. Frank was even better. He is so kind and nice and a great match for Abigail. Both are equally good and both bring something special to the book.

What about Abby Elvidge’s performance did you like?
Abby was a good narrator. It was easy to listen to her and she made a great Abigail, though I do think she could of added a little more to the other characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. Like book 1, I wanted to keep reading to see what happens.

    Any additional comments?
All Things Slip Away was a great second book. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading book 1 so you can get a feel for the characters. Kathryn Meyers Griffith is such a good story teller and invests so much into her characters. She does the same here and creates a really good murder/ mystery that will keep you reading.

  • "Hit and Miss."

    Story
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I think I would because I know a lot of people like this kind of book even though I only thought it was OK.

    Any additional comments?
This was a real hit and miss for me. There was 2 main things that I didn't like and these really brought down the overall story. Ill start with what I didnt like -
I HATE insta love and love triangles and this has both. It seemed that every guy Sophia saw, she fell in love with and it really really annoyed me. She "loved" 3 guys!! I mean, come on, she is 15, she shouldnt even love one guy never mind say 3.
The second biggest thing was Sophia herself. She started strong but over the course of the book became weaker and let everyone walk over her.
Now onto what I liked -
I liked Sergei. He is Sophias rock and is there when she needs him.
I also liked Alexander. He is kind and nice and I liked seeing his relationship with Sophia grow.
I like the Queen, even though she is mean at times, I think she really cares for Sophia.
Anyway, overall The Queen Of Someday was an OK read. I liked seeing Sophias story but I didnt like parts. The one redeeming quality and what really made me enjoy the experience of the book was Elan O' Connor. She was the perfect choice for Sophia because her voice was so regal. I will definitely check out more that she read.
