    Story
Where does Human No Longer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It ranks quite high. I really enjoyed the story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Human No Longer?
Jennys' absolute devotion to her kids. She adores them and does everything to keep them safe. I also loved her relationship with her brother. They are so close.

What does Sara Mackie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Sara brings the story alive. Her voice conveyed all the right emotion which is hard to come across when just reading the story.

    Any additional comments?
This was more than just a vampire tale. Its a story of survival for a woman who just wants her life back. She is terrified that she will hurt someone and debates leaving. Her love for her kids really shines through though and she knows she never could leave them. This is a character driven story and I loved that. Its not the most action packed book but it's got soul. Katherine Meyer Griffith is such a wonderful writer and I can't wait to read more from her.

  • Witches: Author's Revised Edition | [Kathryn Meyer Griffith]
  • Written by: Kathryn Meyer Griffith
  • Narrated by: Erica L. Risberg
  • Length: 10 hrs and 50 mins
  • Unabridged Audiobook

  • Release Date:05-31-13
  • Publisher: Kathryn Meyer Griffith

  • There are witches in the world... some are good and some of them are downright evil.
  • Amanda Givens is careful how she uses her powers. She doesn't want the people of Canaan, Connecticut, to know they have a witch among them... even a good, white witch. For years, she's lived quietly in a remote cabin in the woods with Amadeus, her feline familiar.
  • When she's wrongly blamed for a rash of ritualistic murders committed by a satanic cult, she knows she can't hide any longer. She's the one the cult's after. More than that, she’s the only one who can stop them and prove her innocence. In doing this, she's drawn back in time by the ghost of the malevolent witch, Rachel Coxe, who was drowned for practicing black magic in the 17th century. Now, as Amanda tries to rehabilitate Rachel's reputation in an effort to save lives, as well as her own, she has to rely on a sister's love and magical knowledge, and a powerful sect of witches called the Guardians, to help her get home safely.

    Story
If you could sum up Witches in three words, what would they be?
    Engaging, Tense and Magical.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Witches?

There isn't one that stands out because I found the whole book to be one enthralling.
Have you listened to any of Erica L. Risberg’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, this is my first by her. I really enjoyed her voice and how she did the characters.

    Any additional comments?
Witches was an awesome book. Amanda is a really strong character and I loved her. She is grief stricken when she looses her husband and that's how she is transported to another time to live out her days as a wicked witch. It's the only time she was vulnerable. She is an extremely strong white witch but she does something silly and loses her powers and can't get herself out of the time period she is sucked into, the time when witches were killed. She has to try to find a way back before she is killed for being a witch.
Katherine Meyers Griffith has managed to create another amazing world. The books I've read by her so far are all character driven, and while that can make the a bit slow, I thoroughly enjoyed them. They are the type of stories that will stay with you long after you finish reading them.

Is there anything you would change about this book?
Id just make it longer and a little more action packed.

Have you listened to any of Steve Cooper’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No but I will check some more from him after this. He was a really good performer and he pulled you in.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?
    I might.

    Any additional comments?
While I did enjoy the story, I found it to be quite slow going. It was tense but I wanted more from it. It was a very short and quick read and overall, quite enjoyable.
