DR. EVERETT BERNING achieved his life’s work by discovering a cure for drug addiction. Unfortunately, the formula was stolen and fell into the hands of the enemy.
DRUG LORDS from around the world unknowingly released the altered, deadly formula into their supply, affecting millions across the globe.
WITHIN FORTY-EIGHT HOURS, the entire planet is thrown into chaos as the disease spreads.
REGINA PARKER, Chief of Police of the tiny town of Rockport, Arkansas, isn’t willing to let the military kill thousands of innocent people in a rush to contain the outbreak. She leads a small contingent of survivors on a dangerous quest to keep her town safe from the soldiers and the dead.
WILL DR. BERNING be able to isolate the contagion and find a way to reverse it, or is it too late to save humanity from the tainted cure? How far will Chief Parker go to save the lives of others as the world collapses around them?

My Thoughts:

This is book 2 so may contain spoilers for book 1, though I do try not to post any!!

This edition sees the group trying to reach the the local Walmart, believing they will be safe there for the time being. But when the military hear word of this, they are willing to do all they can to take out the untested. I can't really say much more without spoiling things for you, so all I'll say is wow, this was an emotional rollercoaster!! Loyalties are tested, friendships made, lives lost and a whole lot of Zombie action!

Once again, the author takes this to another level. The pot of this one is incredibly fast paced and gripping. In book one, the scene is set but here we see the devastation that it has caused. We also see the doc responsible for the cure witnessing just what he helped create, albeit unwillingly. The author gives just enough blood and gore to satisfy the zombie lovers but she also creates a story you become invested in and characters that will capture your heart. There isn't one negative thing I can say about this book and I'm more than looking forward to book 3!! Bring it on!!!!

Ashley Fontainne never fails to deliver in her writing! This author can spin one hell of a tale and always throws in twist after twist. I have never failed to be awed by what happens and I honesty think she is one of the most overlooked authors. I HIGHLY recommend her work and hope that more people read them!!!
