5 things you need to know about Birth of a Destiny
1. Birth of a Destiny took nine years from start to publication. But, I had three children along the way, learnt the craft of writing and worked part-time. Thankfully, the second book is on track to take me a year, from start to finish. I can't tell you how pleased I am that it gets faster.
2. Birth of a Destiny is set in Queensland, Australia where I grew up. I just loved our old ghostly, creaky house, with a creek to swim in, horses to ride, space to play and freedom to let my imagination run wild. I have tried really hard to impart my love for and an Australian feel in my book, so that readers can get a taste of what it was like.
3. The title of my book changed three times before becoming Birth of a Destiny. Once I thought of Birth of a Destiny, I knew instantly that it was the perfect title.
4. The main character, Rose, has already been through a tough time when readers meet her for the first time. She is just a shadow of who she once was. Rose is certainly in for some surprises in Birth of a Destiny and let's just say, things certainly aren't smooth sailing. Rose is at the beginning of a long, unexpected and at times, dangerous journey that will help recapture her warrior spirit, heal her heart and claim her destiny.
5. Learn from this book: it is never a good idea to go inside an abandoned church.
