  • In a world where virtually any death can be bought for the right price, follow the path of a high-tech assassin searching for answers to questions he shouldn't be asking along with his next target. Agent G is a Letter, one of the Society's 26 weapons for hire.
  • Unfortunately for the Society, G is starting to think for himself.
  • Unfortunately for G, he's in the middle of infiltrating a rival organization and is running out of people he can trust.

My Thoughts:

Agent G is a "Letter". He works for The International Refugee Society and is basically an assassin. Thing is, the Letters have "given up their families and their memories for ten years of service with the promise of a life of luxury awaiting them". Usually the Letters are happy to do their job, but Agent G know's there's more. He just want's to do the 10 years and go back to his life. But how can he? He has been augmented with technology that people kill to get. And his life is about to get even worse when he is sent to infiltrate an organisation that is a big Rival to the "IRS".

I've been a fan of C.T. Phipps for a while now but this book just made him one of my favourite authors!! He manages to make each book unique, entertaining and fun. This had me on the edge of my seat but also sniggering a lot!! He puts his own stamp on his books and really makes them unforgettable.

I really liked Agent G. He is mysterious, arrogant, and intriguing. I liked seeing his story unravel and finding out more about him. He was well written and developed. In fact, one thing this author knows, is how to flesh out his characters and make them easy to like. Even the bad guys are ones you just can't help but like!!

The plot was fast paced and intense. I so enjoy reading the worlds this author comes up with!! They are all so varied and entertaining. He throws in curve ball after curve ball and really makes the reading experience so much more enjoyable. You can never tell where the story is going.

Jeffrey Kafer is always able to bring any book to life. He is always clear and concise and has such an array of tones and cadences that make for effortless listening.

I was voluntarily provided this free review audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.
